Hi all,Whatever I try I am not able to create a new two-color pattern fill in coreldraw 2017.
I do the following:
"edit > create > Pattern Fill"
then I select "Two-color" and "Low" (or "Medium"/"High", in Resolution)
I select an area, then a message appears "Create pattern with selected area?". If I click "OK" nothing happens (it does quite the editor but apart from that nothing...)
Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to select an area that contains a specific object or ...???
Any help is very much appreciated!
best,
Creating a two-color pattern fill works fine for me in CorelDRAW X8, but I haven't been able to get it to work reliably for me in CorelDraw 2018.
Looking into this, I found this thread: Remove the two-color fills.
There is some information from pranderson in that thread that caused me to check my C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2018\Custom Data folder, and yes, there was a file "patterns.bpt" there.
When I try (and seem to fail) to create a 2-color pattern fill in 2018, a "TEMP.BPT" file is created in that folder.
If I rename the original "patterns.bpt", then rename the "TEMP.BPT" file to be "patterns.bpt", then my new pattern fill is available after exiting / restarting CorelDRAW.
Thank you for this info, I really needed it.
Jeez, this sodding 2018 is giving me a workout. Considering the cost of this product, we shouldn't have to jump through all these hoops to get sh*t done! If it weren't for other users figuring stuff out, we'd be up Sh*t Creek, since Corel doesn't seem to give a damn.
