After a Windows 10 update yesterday my CorelDraw does not want to work,
it starts up fine but you cant open an existing file or start a new file then it hangs.
it worked fine last week before the windows 10 update.
I've uninstall an reinstalled a few times.
i cleaned the temp files as some suggested
i've used F8 when starting up CorelDraw to reset settings
I've installed CorelDraw 2018 and it still does the same.
I've check for updates but there is none
I use a Intel Core I5 3Ghz with 8Gb Ram
See attached video
Hi
i have the same issue
could you solve it?
Hi i have not solved the problem but, i have contacted Microsoft and a technician logged into my pc and some how he fixed the problem. so i don't have a answer yet, all i know is that the Windows 10 update messed up my CorelDraw and other programs too.
I'm on Windows 10 Pro
Version 1903
Installed (updated) on 28 May 2018
OS Build 17134.48
The Technician try to repair CorelDraw from the appwiz.cpl which did not work, ive already tried that and it did not work.
he also RUN Compatibity troublesshoot and it did not work, ive already tried that and it did not work.
then we restarted the pc and Corel worked fine.
i dont know if he switched off something in the background where i could not see, i was watching his every move to see what the problem was.
Hope Windows brings out an update to fix this problem. might be a security problem with the last update.
Still don't have answers.
Thanks so much for the answer, i will try that option!
Can someone help, I've tried the above and Corel 2017 will let you open one CDR file but when I try to open another CDR file Corel freezes and I have to close it using the task manager. Once this happens it affects other software also and makes them freeze when opening a native file from their product. I've figured out that if I log off and then back on all the other software products work fine for days until I run Corel again and it freezes then it starts all over again. I can open CDR files from the directory by double clicking them over and over without a problem, it only happens opening files within the Corel. I've been running 2017 on Win 7 for years with no problem and just recently upgraded to Window 10 and it's been locking up since upgrading. Thanks for any help.
