I have created a curved object above a map that I want to use to Power Clip the portion of the map in another layer. When I try to Power Clip inside I get the error message:
What am I doing wrong, and what does it take to draw a valid object for Power Clipping??
The power clip object and the objects to power clip must be on the SAME layer.
Yes, I have done that on the same layer with the same result.
Is the object you are trying to power clip a bitmap image? If so, in v2017 it may be a bug as I cannot either?

actually, it did work, you have to click exactly on the vector powerclip object, not outside of it.
Yes, I am trying to PowerClip a bitmap of an old map, and I am using CD2017. I have the old map as my base layer; I then draw the object that I want for the clip on this same layer; I then click on "Place inside frame"; then on the object; and the error message in my original post still occurs.
I have checked for updates, and I have the latest version of CD2017.
Thanks for your attempt to help!
