How to trim lines

Hello,

I'm running Corel Draw X7.  I have a very basic question about trimming lines that intersect.  Let's say you have an "X" and want to trim off one of the legs.  Is there an easy way to do this?

Thanks, Mark

  • I would use another object that covers the area you want to cut off then use the trim command from the property toolbar or shaping docker or use the knife under the crop tool fly-out in the main toolbox.  You can use the virtual segment delete tool as timd suggests but then you'll have a space you'll have to close using the node joining function to close the gap.

You can also just delete the nodes that make up the area you want to remove by selecting them and hitting delete on the keyboard.

Let us know if you're still having trouble and i'll explain it further.
