What's the trick to get a pointed Contour 1 step Pointed corner?
That's an interesting question.
When I try it, it appears to use a "miter limit" of 15°. I don't know where, in the user interface, one would set a different miter limit for the Contour.
If a Contour is created programmatically (e.g., by a VBA macro), then the miter limit is one of the properties that can be specified. I think it can be as small as 1° when it is done that way.
I'd check the miter of the outline before setting the contour. I have my miter default set up to .1 or

That's a very reasonable suggestion.
Does it work?
Here are a couple of subs to play with:
Sub create_contour_miter_limit_1() Dim s As Shape Dim e As Effect Set s = ActiveShape Set e = s.CreateContour e.contour.MiterLimit = 1 MsgBox e.contour.MiterLimit End Sub '---------------------------------------- Sub create_contour_check_miter_limit() Dim s As Shape Dim e As Effect Set s = ActiveShape Set e = s.CreateContour MsgBox e.contour.MiterLimit End Sub
OL miter was 45.0, changed it to.1 with same result.
