Hi,
I upgraded from CDR Graphics Suite X5 to Graphics Suite 2017. I wonder why X5 shows TWAIN sources and 2017 doesn't. Could someone help me please?
Regards, Anselm
Maybe your X5 version was 32-bits and your 2017 is 64-bits?
Ariel, I though Corel quit supporting/using TWAIN and now is exclusively using WIA?
If you want to use TWAIN you have to install the 32-bit version of PP (which also allows use to use 32-bit plugins).
No, its the manufacturers such as Canon, HP, Espon etcetera who havent come out with true 64 bit drivers. Its not Corels fault.
Actually, Corel saw to during release of X6, to fix so that at least WIA worked. At that time Steven Blosser in the US came out with his own great solution for this. His plugin is great and way, way, way and way better than any WIA out there. Dont know if he still sell that pluging anymore. He made it originally for CorelDRAW & Photo-Paint X6. I will ping him to remind him of his great plugin :-)
I'm in the middle of another project right now, but I do have a way to add Twain support as well as remote control for various cameras and web cams. I'll work on it later next week and see what I can come up with.
I use two scanners, a Brother MFC-7840W and a Canon LiDE 120. Any chance to use TWAIN? Funny: upgrading to CDR Graphics Suite 2017 64 bits I expected advantages and state disadvantages.
