Hi you all,
after installing the Fall Creators Update of Windows 10 64bit we noticed a delay in the follwoing functions:
When starting - takse very long to open a new document.
Copy an object (rectangle) - takes about 30 sec. (busy clock apears)
Print dialog appears after a long delay of about 1 min.
Export to web dialog appears after a long delay of about 1 min.
There might be other problems, but we uninstalled the update. After reinstalling it again, same problems. Now permernatently uninstalled. Normal behavior again.
Any ideas? Does anyone have similar problems?
Thanks for your response.
I don't know if this will help anyone, but for me it got so bad I tried to avoid using CorelDRAW at all... Anyway, as a result, I've been regularly updating my drivers, hoping it will get better.Just updated to Radeon software version 18.8.2 and Corel is still slow, but it's usable now... I find opening a new document, or copying something seems to result in a delay of less than 2 seconds, which while slow is bearable. Way down on the 10+ seconds before. Hope this might help someone else.
Yeahhh! AMD driver version 18.7.1 works better. Delay: copy/paste 1 sec. and open an new page 1 sec. It is not optimal, but I can work better now. My graphic adapter is Radeon RX480.
On my Intel I7 system, new documents are instantaneous, copy and past nearly instant. My wife has a POS AMD system it's an HP for she uses for email and shopping and new document are about a second, copy and past is just a second. I find it funny that some AMD systems do this and others do not. I also find it funny that the AMD graphics cards interface software changes almost every time I get a major Windows update.
I agree. It could be better. Corel Paint is only 2s to load and 2s to clipboard. 4s and 7s is noticeable, but usable compared to 30s to 40s plus. Inkscape is in the 1s to 4s ballpark depending on image complexity.
Our brains are used to 1s or 2s on PCs these days and we notice 4s. But, again, 40s??? Not usable.
On my RX 480, 4 sec. to load an new page and 7 sec. to copy/pase
That is definitely still too slow.
Oh.... thanks AMD and Corel for this insane improvement ... assh ****
