Hi.
I have been using export to eps in X4 without any problems.
Recently, I found that when I use the same command and used gsview to view the eps file, it prompted me with some error message on DSC page number.
I have no idea what happen or if anything I have change cause this.
Do anyone know how to fix it? It is irritating.
(old exported eps files have no issues and if I used my old cdr file to perform the export again, the errors appear.) This suggest something to do with the some settings or perhaps other software components??
Thank you.

Hi,
Could you please post EPS file that causes the problem ( you might want to simplify your content before you send a file to get into the post file size limit )?What version of GS you are using and on what OS?
Gennady
Attached is the EPS output file.

I am using gsview 4.9, ghostscript 8.71 and vista 32 bits.
Actually, attached EPS file has been created in X4, not in X5. It does indeed triggers DCS comments warning and DCS comment error in GS. I was not able to create an EPS file in X5 that would trigger these warnings/errors though. Are you sure the situation is as you described, not reversed?
X5-generated EPS have DCS comments that technically do not belong to EPS. However, we need to keep them specifically for GS to ensure the orientation and bounding box are displayed correctly. These misplaced DCS are not even shown by GS, however Distiller 9.0 detects them. In both aplication DCS warnings reporting is turned off by default, as DCS comments are not EPS content, they contain additional service information. Also there is ambiguity in interpreting whether some DCS are allowed in EPS, the reason why Distiller and GS report different warnings.
Thank you Gennady for your replies,
Yes. I was using X4. But the thing is I did not have these DCS errors previously using X4. This problem just suddenly appear recently, I am not sure what happen and wanted to fix this irritating error from gsview.
(using the search, I found a very old posting "eps export DSC error" that seems to report a similar problem before)

Or maybe I have to try out the new X5 next time.
My mistake, I assumed you has switched from X4 to X5. The preview in the EPS would account for size increase as well, transparency rasterization is much harder to figure out though.
