Currently using X5. I have an object within an object that I want trimmed out so the background color will show.
I selected object I want to be trimmed and then ctrl + shift select the second object I want to have it trimmed from. I hit, arrange + shaping + trim. I delete the 1st object and it appears as if nothing happened to the second object. I go into wireframe mode and it shows that the cut was indeed made. View it again in normal mode and I can't see the cut out area. Both objects are curved items. Both objects on same layer.
What am I doing wrong?
If you're able to show an illustration (maybe before and after) it may help to understand this. You'll need to use the rich formatting reply and then the insert media icon.
And/or, you could upload a small non-confidential CDR file (up to 512K) using the same icon, or paste a link to a dropbox or similar copy of the file
