Picture the eclipse of the sun--how, (in CORELX3), do I achieve that brilliant glow around the black orb?? I am creating a Sci-Fi art--and I want to finish that part of it on a very dark backround
The easiest method would be to use a drop shadow. Just create your sky, place a black orb on it and use the drop shadow tool to create a glow of your choice.
This took me about 10 mins in Draw X4, but it would be identical in X3. Just a simple black orb, one thin drop shadow (set to outside the shape), break that apart from the main shape and produce another wider dropshadow of a different colour, with a greater feather effect. Theres no limit to how many effects you can add if youre happy to turn it into a bitmap and edit it in photopaint too :)
