Has there been any new features in CorelDraw that would allow batch conversion of CDR files to PDF files? We are still looking at converting around 15k CDR files into PDF files and would like to also be able to embed fonts into the PDF file to avoid future missing font errors. Most of our CDR files are fairly simple without any speciall effects like bitmap blurs, transparencies or anything like that.
We need to be able to open these files in Illustrator and not be presented with constant errors or incorrect colors etc....
Most, if not all of our CDR files are created using Pantone Spot Colors and some greyscale Black/White colors as well as Registration Mark color. Is there a newer macro, working macro or new type of software that will consistently be able to do this? The older convert macros seem to crash or produce inconsistent results.
Thanks Myron!
We keep all artwork very clean with no scraps of clipart or anything like that outside of the page boundaries.
we would definitely want to convert the entire document on every single CDR file. there would be no situation where we would want to save only 1 page out of a file...it would always need to be the entire document.
But, the main question is how can this be accomplished on a large scale like this in batches of say maybe 50-150 files at a time?
I'll support Myron's answer to you. I really hope all your 15k files have ALL THE SAME caracteristics. The same options, same details, etc... for some tool that might do the job, if it exists. I'm sorry but I don't know any...Good luck.
If you google a bit with key words like BATCH CONVERSION CDR to PDF... You can find tools... Don't know if they really work or not... But many appear...http://www.foxpdf.com/CDR-to-PDF-Converter/Convert-CDR-to-PDF.htmlTry the trial products before buying...

be aware that unless YOUR FILES ARE EXTREMELY SIMPLE, this is a mine field filled with Bouncing Bettys.
