Hello all. I bought a new laptop with Win10 Prof and attachted a new Canon scanner, CanoScan LiDE 400, to that. Installing the current Canon scanner driver for that.
Unfortunately, the scanner appeared within Photophaint (latest version = 2020) only as a VIA scanner driver with absolutely poor scanning possibilites. Why is there not a TWAIN scanner driver?Only the Canon scanning software appeared with "ScanGear", which is the desired driver for within Corel Photopaint.
I read in the web, Corel Photopaint 2020 is a 64-bit app, and the Canon driver a 32-bit app.Unbelievable, that Canon does not have a 64-bit driver.
Has anyone an idea how to use the LiDE 400 within Corel Photopaint directly?
Thx, Michael.
Hi ajwh, thank you. Does Silverfast provide an interface from the Canon scanner into Corel Photopaint 2020? How does that work? Which products from Silverfast do I need?
All the years I used under Win-XP and Corel 10 an Canon CanoScan LiDE 210 that way, that within Corel Photopaint I could start the ScanGear-driver of Canon (Start | Get image | Select source oder Get image) and the driver presented the scanned image as a new file within Corel Photopaint to work with (i.e. some postprocessing).
