Asked just for fun. I think drawing/painting and music belong together.
Here is my list:
for quick and expressive drawings I listen to alternative rock like Blind Age(unknown to the most of you, friends to me), Linkin' Park, 3Doors Down, Alter Bridge, and many more.
for very freaky ideas I listen to Dream Theatre(though I can't stand that only for 1-2 hours...)
for moody titles and chilley works I listen to recreative Ambient&Trance Techno like XERXES, Martin O'Donnel(Soundtrack from HALO2) and several else.
Now let me know yours...

Being an Indian, I don't listen to any of the music discussed here. But I am an Indian oldie and love to hear Kishore Kumar, one of the Indian master singers. And especially I love to listen his emotional solos he sung in 60's, 70's
GREAT ARTISTE, unfortunately no more with us.

Hi, Anand, I was search about Kishore Kumar and I download a song (neelay neelay amber pe). Sounds fabulous! I don't undestand one word but the music sounds genial. My daughter (seven years old) to dance with their music and asked me: more music like that. So I download to another, (chand mera dil, from kishore kumar, mohd rafi & asha bhosl ). In a part of this song, sounds like ABBA. So many great artists we are losing because of lack of information! Can you tell me more similar music to listen? or do you recommend me a song?
thanks for share this wonderful artist with us
Anand, Ive tried Kishore Kumar, and the funny thing is, I could hear his songs the hole day. I am also interessted in more of this music culture!
@ Ariel: If Jean Michel Jarré would do any visual Arts, many of us would be interessted what the Arts would be! What I've ment with the list of Artists: Every Artist use serveral sences and inputs of influence. And music might be important for many of them. But Jarré might be the most listened by many Artists. I could imagine you're listening to Vangelis too, dont you?
Honestly said: I tend to hear even Classics, Operas and Synphonies, or movie soundtracks (Howard Shore for example). There is no way I don't dare to go for the right music in the right moment.
