EndPoint definition of line vs. curve segments

Curve segments with arrow ends have their nodes inside of the arrow
triangle while line segments have them at the tip of the
arrow. Converting a line segment into a curve segment will thus
rearrange the segment erroneously.

  • Yep, that's been driving me around the bend (oops--didn't mean to create an outrageous pun--just noticed it after typing it) for years. Hopefully some future release will address the strangeness of arrowheads in a number of situations--but much like the rounding and distortion of corners on rectangles there will be some resistance because millions of files would change when opened in that new and improved version.

(I have been suggesting for years that the rectangle problem could be solved with a new object type; a similar new object type solution would be viable for the arrowheads to keep compatibility with legacy files.
