Macro for Publish to Pdf?

Hi,

Does anyone know of a Macro available that you can set some standard settings once for your PDF output and then activate the macro and it will publish a PDF with those settings automatically in a specified folder without any further input from the user?

Sort of a set it and forget it one button push publish to pdf macro?

Yep, you can record your own. I did this by saving to a specific directory and with a generic name then copied that file and pasted to the directory I needed and renamed it.

You can try following

On publish PDF define your PDF settings (in sample defined “PDF/X-1a AA6 curves”) and save them and then you can use following macro

Sub Test()

ActiveDocument.PDFSettings.Load "PDF/X-1a AA6 curves"

ActiveDocument.PublishToPDF "C:\MyDocument.pdf" 'path&name where pdf is saved

End Sub

This one works perfectly, but is there a way so that it saves the PDF file with the name of the document?

So if the document was named MyArtwork.cdr
The PDF would be saved as MyArtwork.pdf

Really, you don't need a macro for this. You can have several settings saved with different names (such as "PDF with cropmals and bleeds" "PDF for send to mail", etc) then assign a shortcut. I use a shortcut for Publish to PDF and choose the preset I want, but if you want, you can create your own shortcut for each presets (Such as Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2, etc)
