I use a template for all my drawings that includes a page number in the lower right hand corner (usually says "Page 1 of 4" for example). I usually edit this number manually, which is fine for documents with a small amount of pages, but if I'm working on a large document (50+ pages) and need to re-order some pages it means editing the page number on every page manually.
Is there some way of having the number in a piece of artistic text dynamically update depending on what page number it's on?
I have programed a macro & have already used it for a 1.2K book in CorelDRAW. You also can try it & send in your feedback.

Thanks Anand, I gave it a quick try but it doesn't seem to do exactly what I'm looking for.
I created some artistic text on page 1 and then applied your utility to the text. This changes the text to '1'. Now when I copy and paste this artistic text onto page 2, it stays as '1' instead of updating to '2', which is what I'm looking for.
Most macros will only work with what you already have; they won't work automatically:
What I mean is that you need to have a page existing before you run something to number it or have 'dummy' text in place before something will change it to a page number.
... I've not used it, but there is a "Print Merge" function within Draw that will let you insert fields... not sure if this could be used for incramenting pages or not?
{PS There is also a pre-press printing thingie that automatically prints page numbers with crop marks and the likes - that can be used to print the page numbers on the page rather than outside it}

Thanks for your response.
I have extensively used Print Merge. This feature can be used for page numbering but has a very limited usage. Now in X4 one can use print merge to write the results to a separate CDR file. This addon feature can be used to number the pages. But this will require to number the pages first, create a file with the results & then create the matter on the pages. This can be inconvenient if the quantity of the pages is chaged.

Page numbering available on Pre press menu is meant just for reference for the printers & binders.
This cannot be useful for page numbering in the job pages because :
1) The font & text arrtibutes are not under users control.
2) The position of is fixed & cannot be changed by the user
3) If one desires to have unnumbered pages in a book, its not possible.
My macro was created considering all these needs.
I would be happy on feedback from more users on my utility.
