I am using Corel X-5 and I want to add a red color to my CMYK palette

Thanks a million.
I was not happy with the red colors in the cymk palatte and someone told me to try the following.
0-99-100-0 and it is a much brighter red and I just needed to add it to the palette.

The deafult Red color is C:0 M:100 Y:100 K:0. There's no difference between 99% and 100% , you should use at least C:0 M:100 Y:90 K:0 for see any difference

When I print using my Roland SP-300 and I use the red C:0 M:100 Y:100 K:0 the red appears faded but when I changed the setting to C:0 M:99 Y:100 K:0 the color red looks brighter.

I have showed other people people the exact same decals with the two different colors and each time they can tell me which one is the New color version.

I know it sounds crazy but someone who had the exact same problem I had with the Roland CYMK reds looking faded told me to try it and it worked.

I have to admit I was a little skeptical too even though we use a "special" formula for reds on two different printers. We were even told by a printer "rep" that we should tweak our colors to fit instead of taking the time to set up better print profiles.
