Hello,
I need to figure out how I can change the scaling factor in X5 to act as it did in Corel Draw 9.
When I change any objects scale with "scale factor", be it locked or unlocked proportions, whatever the scale factor I change it to "sticks" with the object unless I convert it to curves or copy paste it into a new doc.
IE; Object is 100% when Drawn. I scale it to 50% and is half its size now. But I want the scale tool to read 100% even though the object is now half of its original size.
I just want the object scale factor to return to 100% after I apply the percentage to any object.
How can this be achieved?Thanks,Mark

Hope this helps, because there is no way to change it back to the old behavior.
...just as I thought it would be. No Real answer, that's sad... I would have thought that Corel X5 would be better than that. I know X3 would be randomly omit pages when I printed multiple page documents, so I put X3 on the back burner over that Issue.
So far this as disappointment number 3 in Corel X5 for me. Being able to do this in 9 really cuts substantial time off of my drawings.
I always work in a scale and make technical scaled drawings with corel.
I.E. ~ Being able to change the size to 50% is helpful when I go from 3/8" = 1' to 3/16"=1' (or to an engineering scale.) ...if you don't understand this it's okay & lucky you.
This will take some getting used to I suppose... I have been using corel draw since version 2 and I really think I have honed myself to expect all the various flaws in the programs different versions over the years.... at least I'm not running it on a Windows 3.1 system anymore.
Well anyways.....thanks for your suggestions thus far. Its back to the whetstone for me.
Later...
