I am trying to create a logo that looks like it is branded into a piece of wood. I created my logo, powerclipped a darker image of the wood inside, created an embossing effect with a lighter and darker version offset from the main logo. Now I would like to "roughen" it up a bit to look more natural - following the woodgrain, and more "burnt in". Anyone have any suggestions?
Hi CindyVS, I have a special tool that will burn in to wood just like a soldering iron I would do this then take a photo end of problem
But to produce in draw I have not got it correct very intersting project
here is one that I just made
edit image in photo paint to remove all your text and darken surface
import into draw and put in new text
then made the word follow the shape of the grain with the envelope tool
made several copies of the word in different colours
made a copy of top word and put to 1 side
then grouped the word and converted to bitmap
edit bitmap in photo paint and feather object outline
bring back into draw add copy of words and adjust to suit
I hope this helps
enjoy
Joe
