Here is a free macro which saves a little time, for anyone interested. It creates an inner shadow on one or more selected shapes. There are a few presets on the macro and if you want to adjust the transparency slightly, click the undo arrow, adjust the transparency and then reapply.
Best regards,Brian.
Thanks, Brian!! I'll check this out, as well. It may work for what I need. Can you change the shadow color to white, though? I was hoping to have it fade to white, instead of fade to black. It was easy in the other scenario, by simply changing the color of the stroke to white, and then converting to bitmap and blurring it. (I know you know, but those others, I thought I'd add those steps.)
Thanks again everyone for your answers to my other post about this topic.

At the request of Senior SE, we now have the option of White inner shadows in addition to the default black. Just tick the White Shadow box to get white instead.
Thanks for the macro, why its not working with the Text, It only works with shapes. Anyway it can work with Text also.
