Hi people !
I have always the problem when I have to make some tickets with serial number on it.
I use some software for that job, but I don't like it. I prefer to work in CDR. I know that there are some scripts for numbering directly in Corel, but I'm not familiar with it.
What do you suggest ? What's the procedure ?
Thank you !

Hi Dencuga
this is a typical Print Merge case but in order to solve this things you should consider are.
a) How many tickets you need?
b) How many will be printed on a sheet?
c) how many coupons will be on a ticket?
Say your design looks like this.
The size of this is 210mm x 74.25mm which means that you can fit four of them on an A4.
You need three coupons on the raffle/ticket and the total tickets will be 1000pcs
Step 1
Since your raffle fits exactly 4 times at an A4 lay four of them on a page.
If you plan to print from a printer you better ask a printing office to sell you pre-perforated A4 sheets which they will perforate for you
according your specs.
Go File > Print Merge > Create/Load Print Fields ...
Select the Create from Scratch option and hit Next
At the emerge dialogue give a name to your numbering fields, I will use
Num 1, Num 2, Num 3, Num 4
From the Fields used in merge text box select the first numbering field and
enable the Incremental field data option.
At the start Text box give a value of 1
Disable the Auto Increment check box and at the End field give a value of the 1 fourth of the total numbers you need.
250 that is.
From the Format drop down select a format with 4 digits such as 000X
For the other three fields use the folowing values
251 - 500
501 - 750
751 - 1000
Be sure to enable the Incremental field data and disable the Auto Increment
Make sure the Format will be 000X for all.
Hit Next.
At this dialogue you can, if necessary to amend any values. Leave it as is and proceed.
You can save your data set if you like.
Now the Print Merge tool box appeared .
Step 2
The active field is Num 1. Click on the little arrow "next to it and place a Number Field at the top ticket.
From the Print Merge Field Drop Down menu on the Print Merge tool box, select the next consecutive field and place it at the corresponding ticket.
When done make sure you deselect the Insert Selected Print Merge Field.
Copy each field to the next coupons and rotate them if necessary.
You should end up with something like this.
Step 3
Now from the Print Merge Tool box select the 3rd button named Perform Print Merge.
Although since X4, even by simply pressing Ctrl +P, you will have the option of performing a print merge,
at X3 and before you should press this little Perform Print Merge button.
Now you Print dialogue appears.
Check with your Print Preview to see if there are 250 pages created and jump to the last page to see if the
numbered fields are 0250, 0500, 0750 and 1000 from the top to the bottom ticket.
Enjoy.
