Can anyone else see two fine white lines through this pattern.....it divides the page into 3. I made a pattern fill but the sqaure selection box was around two of the leaves so I know its not caused by me not selecting the pattern correctly as there would be even more white bits plus the white line is in the wrong position for this. The line shows very finely when I print out the sheet.....does anyone know the cause and how I get rid of it? The pattern was created with Draw
Hi PINKGEM.
You can do it in this way...
Thank you Jesus
I don't know if there's any point in adding to this post but I will anyway:JPEG and assorted bitmaps trump vectors. It's a fact even if you don't like it.It is THE standard image format for digital cameras and for virtually all images posted online. The most commonly used format- JPEG- is used by the publishing industry, the media, graphic and textile designers and no doubt others. In fact, I think it's completely lost on the design team just how many people (average consumers) have probably given up on Corel because Adobe is out there improving all the time and scooping up a whole new class of designers. Resource makers/providers are a huge market of software users that are now as a matter of course providing their work not only as jpegs but psds. Those resources CANNOT have white lines in them and this software company knows this.I want to actually hear from ONE SINGLE person on the design team - not some yes-man- why this fix is not yet available. And when it will be.Not to mention all the other broken stuff.

Well, that requires a little explanation. Create a new document, choose units=pixels, and create a rectangle of 800x600 pixels. That's seems to be correct, right? but now go to View/pixel preview, and zoom on one corner of the rectangle. Sometimes, the rectangle is not snapped to the pixel grid, and that cause an "extra pixel" on gray. This is the reason of the "white" or "gray" line on the border when you export, and also that explain the incorrect size (such as 601x801 pixels). Solution? you can snap to the grid manually, or just choose "object hinting" with the secondary mouse button, Now, you can export at the real size and all works fine... except if you have an outline around the object
Wow, can't believe this is still an issue! I have Coreldraw 2018 and I've been trying to figure out how to get rid of the grey outline! Thanks for the "object hinting" clue, it worked like a charm. If you are still even on this forum 7 years later!
Yes, we are still alive...
