Contour Offset - How to delete the source feature after doing "outside contour offset" ?

Hi

I am trying to do contour offset of some features. Contour offset is working properly but after that I don't need the old feature (source feature) i.e., I need only that feature which I got after doing the contour offset.

I am able to do it manually by selecting the entities and deleting it , but my features have more inner and outer entities (eg: a double stroke text), so I need to auto delete it. Selecting each entity and deleting consumes a lot of time.

I have tried the Boundary option (Objects>shaping>Boundary) but I could separate only the boundary line.  But in this, I am unable to separate the offset-ted inner features.

Please help.

  • Thanks for the reply @David Milisock . Using this method I am able to delete the original contour. But is there any method/setting to auto-delete the original contour when doing offsetting ? Basically I am going to feed the offset-ted contour to my CNC machine. So I don't need the original contour. For example : in AutoCAD : when doing mirroring : there is option to keep the original or delete the original.
