Hello,
I'm new to the forums so hopefully I've posted in the correct place but I have been using Corel Draw X5 for sometime. I use the software to design & make 3D model railway kits. My question I know will should silly too most of you but I was wondering if there is an easy way to create a brick arch effect that you see over doors & windows.
Currently I do this manually in Corel Draw where I start of with a single brick, copy the brick image & rotate is slightly repeaating the process until I form the full arch, is there quicker way to do this by using a line of single brick images & then forming it into the arch using corel draw tools.
Any asssistance or advice would be great.
Thank you.
Mike.
You can try to use Blend Tool with path
(attachemtnt is zipped as I cannot attach cdr file)
Rotate with multiple copies?
See this video.
Lovely, that's just what I've been trying to figure out. I knew somewhere within this great software there had to be an easy method of doing an arch. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, I can now make more designs with arched windows & doors within the kits.
I'm totally amazed that there are two methods for doing something up until now I've been doing manually. I've been testing both methods now for a hour & I find both easy to use now I know what I'm doing.
Without this forums help I'd still be struggling, so I can't thank everyone enough. Really looking forward to some new ideas I can now impliment with my designs.
Glad to learn that this opens up new possibilities for you!
The rotate-with-copies method is quick, but of course limits one to a circular pattern.
The Blend approach offers the flexibility to work with other shapes for the path.
Are you familiar with using "Symbols" in CorelDRAW? That might be useful for some of your designs.
