We installed a version of X6 on a new system and every time we open files with text that have been saved in RGB mode they convert to CMYK. We tried changing the default color management settings and the text settings in Default object properties but it does work?
Hi Bp,
1. You document may not have an embedded profile. You don't get an embedded profile just because you saved in RGB.
2. DRAW X6 has a bug in the primary settings dialog. Some of the default settings at the top do not allow you to change the primary color even though it appears in the drop down list.Try North American Web to get RGB as the default color mode.

It's not a bug, many CDR files have no embedded profiles because CorelDraw couldn't embed profiles until X5. Many do not because the older files were opened in X5 or newer but since that had no profile the application does not automatically embed one.
North American General Purpose is default, that's a primary color mode of CMYK, the North American Web is the same except an RGB primary color mode. It does require that you read the dialog to change mode.
