I just discovered that X6 Draw and Paint 64 bit won't scan - the options are greyed out. I'm guessing this is because my Epson Twain Driver is 32 bit. Is there any chance this issue will be addressed in a service pack or update, and if so, can anyone guess at the timeline? I don't do that much scanning and if I get X6 I wouldn't want to keep X5 installed just on the off chance that I need to scan. Thanks.
So we both addressed this issue on both our blogs! There you go, its a good product.
It saved me a lot of time today.
Thanks for the links. Reading the blogs I think that Corel could have addressed this issue before releasing X6. The lack of 64 bit twain drivers was obviously well known and a third party seemed to have knocked out a part-solution very quickly. For myself I've just realised I can use the built in scanner provided by Microsoft that came with Windows 7. I don't do enough scanning to make it imperative to scan directly into Draw. Cheers.

Scanning directly into CorelDRAW or Photo-Paint or just about any program saves a lo of times. Especially if yo like me work with illustrations and graphic design, where I scan a lot of my hand drawn drawings, or clients with rough sketches to redraw and vectorize their logos from scratch.
We all have our workflow, but personally its crazy when the amount of images I scan at times have to go through windows or software outside Draw and PP.
Corel can only answer to why it wasnt implemented. But considering they will eventually fix it to work with X6 this solution by Steve B at Softbotz is a true god sent. It have saved a lot of time.
Considering Steve B at Softbotz have more things in the pieline with this one, its an interesting journey ahead.
