I just discovered that X6 Draw and Paint 64 bit won't scan - the options are greyed out. I'm guessing this is because my Epson Twain Driver is 32 bit. Is there any chance this issue will be addressed in a service pack or update, and if so, can anyone guess at the timeline? I don't do that much scanning and if I get X6 I wouldn't want to keep X5 installed just on the off chance that I need to scan. Thanks.
I have a question you may be able to help me with as I see you are very knowledgable about the corel programs. I recently purchased and installed the 64bit version of x6 corel graphic suite program and had the same problems with not being able to scan. I went back and forth with corel and they gave me nothing except to install the 32bit version which I did and it helped. I had also installed the fix you had suggested and this worked well with the 64 but version. I am having another problem with both the 64bit and the32bit program versions that you may be able to suggest something to fix this since corel doesnt seem to have any an answers for a fix for this either. My problem is when I am making a logo which contains only outlined letters and no fill. I am not able to see a print preview or print the logo . The only way to print or preview a font with just an outline and no fill is to convert it to curves or add a filled object to the logo.Sometimes the customer wants a logo with only words and not a filled letter just a outlined letter. This was not a problem with the x4 version I was able to print and preview anything that I would setup weather it was just fonts with no fill or if it was fonts with a fill. Dont know what is going on with the x6 version but it is causing all sorts of problems. It does this with the 64bit and the 32bit version of x6. I had sent in a question and someone responded that they tried it and had the same results but I havent been able to get any suggestions on how to fix this problem so I am forced to leave the x4 version on my pc and use it when I need a logo with letters that are not filled but only an outline. The face that I have two versions of corel on my pc may be causing some of the other problems that I have with x6 and I am forced to save everything I work on in the x6 version in a previous version of x4 so that I can open it with either program its very confusing. If you can help please let me know. Thanks

I would like to suggest that you divide your several individual questions into separate questions/threads in this forum. Risk is you wont get answers when having a bunch like this in a slighlty older thread.
Regarding Scanning.Yes it is still true that if your Scanner dont have a true 64 bit driver, then you wont be able to use it with 64 bit CorelDRAW/ Photo-Paint. SOme scanner manufacturers have supplied a solution adding their own scanner software, which is a 32 bit program they have.
Now, Corel have officially told they will supply in a service pack a solution for us who uses 64 bit. So help is on its way.

I wish I could give you answer to this one, but the only fix I have found is really a workaround and is just what you said, converting the outline to an object or adding a graphic too it. I don't know any other way around it. As a beta tester, I kind of consider it at least partially my fault, because I should of caught that and reported it earlier.
I wrote something in .NET that does automate that, only does it before before printing and undoes it afterwards, but have yet to release it anywhere, because it is part of a larger project.
