I am hoping this is something simple and I have gone through the forums and can't find anyone else with a simillar problem.
I can't get corel draw x6 to create a "FF" as in Coffee. It happens in most fonts and as soon as you type ff they disappear from view and don't print. I can go into x5 and type it then copy and paste it into x6 as graphic text and it works fine. The only way I have been able to over come it is to put another charachter inbetween the f's then make it tiny and no colour and there you go I can create Coffee, Geoff, Affable and so on. Obviously this isn't ideal.
I have used corel since the early days and really like it and can use it pretty well but this one is just stumping me.
Any suggestions?
I have the same problem and you know what's funny?
Times New Roman, regular, bold, italic and bold italic all does it, but the hungarian H-Times New Roman doesn't. And it appeared like yesterday, no problem before that. turned off every quick correct stuff except the otwo about quotes, the problem remains stil.
Plain old arial does it too but not Arial Bold nor Arial Narrow and H-Arial.
Guess I'm gonna use Hungarian fonts from now on.
Papir-Pont, thanks for responding.
You can open Corel Draw version 4 (not X4) files in a newer version of Corel Draw?
Every version of CorelDraw have backward compatibility as far as I know so yes. I only had experience with X6 and X7 but it should be true to every version.
I wish you were right.
A long time ago, I updated from Windows 3.1 to Windows XP and from CDR 4 to CDR 8. None of my files would open. Fortunately, I had saved the important ones as PS or PDF, so I could sort of use them in CDR 8. More recently, I got my CDR 8 files to open in CDR X4 using an old pc with Windows XP.
