With x4 I regularly would edit an image in Photopaint, put a mask around what I wanted to keep and paste it into Draw and would have a transparent or clear spot wherever there was an area not masked.
Now, in X6 it always exports the background color...
Why and how do force it use paste alpha channels?

@Synauxcc: Try doing the same thing but without using masks - only with already applied transparency. It always worked for me.

Glad to hear that, but I never said it would work only without them. Only suggested a solution worth trying IMO.
I belive my humble person is not a subject of this discussion.
I think I figured it out.
Corel X4 was opening .cdr files by default then from there editing in X6 Photopaint (it was the end of the day and didn't notice).
I tried it with X6 draw and paint and it worked.
