I'm currently using X6 in pixel view & working in an area of between 100 & 200 pixels, using 1 pixel wide lines ...it's very blurry & sometimes 1 line shows as 2! ...anything i can do to make it clearer?

Sounds like anti-aliasing. You could try changing the view:. View>Normal.
I'm guessing here but, when you go into pixel view, it changes your image from vector to raster. This is normal. If you need crispness, use enhanced view.
When working in pixels, the outline width reports 1, even when it is 1.2.
Two things you should do, first, make sure your pixel width is actually 1, by typing "1 px" in the width control and pressing enter. Second, make sure your lines align to the pixel grid. You can make sure it aligns by zooming in and nudging (it move by half a pixel), or use pixel snapping when you draw your lines, or by turning on object hinting on the objects you draw (edit->object hinting).
I wrote this [http://community.coreldraw.com/blogs/insider/archive/2010/03/13/creating-graphics-for-the-web-using-coreldraw-x5.aspx] for X5, it may have some other helpful tips when working in pixel mode
Hendrik's suggestions will most likely fix your problem. That's the way to work in Pixels mode.
Thanks for the advice guys but it doesnt seem to have made any difference ...i am in snap to pixel mode & zoomed right in
for example ...i have a horizontal line of 1 pixel width but when i nudge it up into the next pixel line my clear single line turns into 2 much more transparent lines ...then if i nudge up one more, the clear line comes back again ...this continues if i nudge up or down the screen.
Also why does a 5 px wide 1 pixel high horizontal line show as 5px wide but 0 px high in the "Object size" boxes?
