Okay so I'm having issues with the text tabbing in X6 ,the tabs are set and double checked before it goes out for printing but when its printed some tabs just jump back to the edge. This also happens when the text box is updated(moved or re-sized). We have been having multiple problems with x6 now for a while , we have done the start with factory settings, which has only resolved previous issues temporarily as after a while the problem would reoccur. X5 never had these problems.
Am I just Stupid or is this actually a problem? If it is a problem how do I solve it?
thanx in advance.
What happens if you publish to PDF ?
For most purposes, it is better to do that than to give the printing company a CDR or print file, because you have more control and can check the PDF contents before sending.
I could run that idea by them. The thing is we are the printing company and its mass bulks that need to be printed.
Does this only happen when you move the file from one machine to another, or have you seen it happen in a document which has only ever been edited on one machine?
This happens on the same PC it was edited on, and the PC its printed from. I was just told that even after the file is saved , and then reopened on the same PC then the tabbing is messed up again.
Publish to PDF will not solve much in that case.
Is it possible to upload a brief extract, with dummy data, and a couple of screenshots that illustrates the "correct" and "incorrect" tab settings?
