I just switched from X5 to X6 and cannot figure out how to get align and distribute the way it did in X5 as a floating dialog box. Whenever I open it, it a docker and totally different. I'm used to the way it was in X5.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Jim,
Just grab on its ribbon & tear it off the docking position.
So you can't get it to look like it does in X5? In X5, you can use keyboard shortcuts (T for top, L for left, etc.). You can't do that with what's in the docker and if you drag it off, it still looks the same. You stall cannot use keyboard shortcuts.
Yes the keyboard short cuts should work with or without the docker being open.
If they are not working try holding the F8 key down as CDR starts and reset your workspace to factory defaults.
Be aware you will lose any customisation you have.
I did what you said and started X6 while pressing F8. It still looks like the above (x6 docker, but floating). It does not look like the above x5 floating dialog box where L is underlined, etc.
How do I get that dialog box in x6? Or is it even possible?

No the dockers as you see them is what you get.
The F8 restart would have just fixed the keyboard shortcuts.
When I go to Arrange -> Align and Distribute -> Align and Distribute... , I get the floating pop up, not docker.
