Hi,
I've had a look around the forums, and there are a number of "answers" for this but they all date back from 2 years ago or more so wondered if anyone had any other suggestions.
I run X6 on my machine at work running Win7 on a 256GB SSD no problems.
I run X6 on my machine at home runninf Win 8 on a 128GB SSD and an additional HDD serves my storage user files and temp drive copy and paste is crazy slow!
It's not temp files or "colour styles" I've checked and I have none...
Any suggestions?! My hunch is something to do with my user files on a different disk to my program and windows files... ;-)
Thanks in advance!
These drivers are much better than the latest but I am still not running at full potential. 7-8 seconds to open new, save, export, copy, cut and print. I realize that some of these will very depending on file size and selection but no the "new" file.
With an RX 480, Windows 10 (64) and Corel X8, I just downgraded from AMD drivers 17.12.2-dec19 to 17.7.2-july27. Copy now takes 1 sec instead of 8, new file feels about the same. Still not a 100%. Wonder if it is Corel or AMD issue.
I have the same basic system specs as Watzmann. 17.7.2 is a huge improvement. I feel there are still some issues as Corel seems to bog down after being open for a bit, but C&P isn't a painful experience any longer.
I pulled the Radeon card and installed a Geforce GTX 1070TI. The result is a success. No system bog at all now. I feel confident saying that Corel and AMD drivers are not playing well together. Considering that Corel is the only software that is have an issue, I would say that the burden lies on Corel to get it sorted. The same issue happened with X7 and the newest version that I demoed for speed testing purposes.
Corel fix your program I don't want to have to pay $300 for a new graphics card just to use your software. Fix your AMD driver support
