Why when I import a PDF to Corel Draw X6 I get "font substitution for missing fonts", the I allow the temporary or permanent font substitution and then "The file is corrupted"? Even when I use a font that is available?
Hello djh: X6 Doesn't embed Fonts....... X4, X5, X7 can embed fonts.....See below.

George, you're talking about a different feature: to embedd fonts on the CorelDRAW document. But on this post we're talking about to embedd fonts when Publish as PDF. and CorelDRAw X6 embed fonts on the PDF files, same as previous and newest versions of CorelDRAW. Moreover, even if you didn't has the option for embed fonts on the document enabled you can embed the fonts when publish or export as PDF
Ariel, I checked File/Properties/Fonts in the PDF document and the fonts are embedded (see attached). It seems to be a problem with my installation of CorelDraw X6. I tried F8, repair, and reinstallation. What else can one do?
Thank you in advance for your time and effort.
it will be better if you can share the file for test it. it could be a lot of possible reason, for example, maybe you're using the OpenType versio of Verdana and the PDF include the TrueType Verdana, it's similar but it's not the same. Different language settings will produce also a message for font replace
Ariel, thank you for looking into this.
I have opened file in Adobe Acrobat then go "merge transparency" (not sure about exact English naming) then save and then I can immport to CorelDraw X5.
