I have recently learned that there is a new image format created by Google that is being used: https://developers.google.com/speed/webp
Some of the pictures I edit are now being saved in this format. Is there anyway that I can open a .webp image in Corel X7 Photo-Paint, or will I have to find a way to convert the image first?
If converting the image first (such as to a .jpg) is my only option, then can someone suggest a way I can do this for free? (I do not want to subscribe to a web site/service for doing this).
Thank you.

Thanks a lot for the link. A lot of good options there. It never occurred to me that Microsoft Paint would have the ability to open .webp files.
