Illustrator can do this. CorelDraw for some reason cant.
(if it makes Draw much slower, forget I mentioned it, I'd rather have speed)
Right-click when the object is selected and choose Hide Object from the Context menu. You can also do this via the Object Manager docker by clicking its little eye icon. Patti
The context menu is the menu that pops up when you right-click. The options on the menu change depending on what is selected (or not selected).
When I right-click with one object selected Hide Object is included on the context menu:
And I was wrong about the object manager. Sorry about that. You have to select the object in the list and right-click to get the Hide Object option.
You can add commands/options to context menus, but I don't think I added that particular one -- although it's hard to remember sometimes what I've added or not!
You could also assign a shortcut key for hide object. Find Hide Object in the Tools>Options>Customization>Commands and on the Shortcut Keys tab assign a keystroke. I also noticed when I was walking through this that on the General tab it tells what menu the command is located on.
