I have problem with installing Corel 7 on my laptop.
In main installer window I got empty space, empty buttons, and I cannot start install.
Checkbox to agree license is active.
Button to abort install, while empty, works.
Button to procede install not works.
I can switch buttons with TAB and they are lightened, but install button still not works.
Hello Indoctrine; this is just a QUESS, but try scrolling to the bottom of the ULA statement and see if the install lights up.Good Luck, George

Windows 7 64, all updates (manually chosen also) installed :(
i have the same problem
Hello Jeffdesigner; You didn't say which Windows you are using, or if you are trying the 32 or the 64 bit Corel. things to look at are turn off the fire wall, make sure you have a good connection ( Inter net.) down load the program, clean out your temp dir. and run a registry cleaner. then try to install the program with nothing else running. And if you have a off the shelf computer see whats is running at start up. ( you may not need half the stuff that loaded and running. If you have a home ver. of Windows think about upgrading to at least Windows Pro.
George

DO A BACKUP FIRST!
It may work for you. At least one of those updates is to do with font rendering, another with graphics acceleration so they do seem to be in the right area.
This also cured a problem I have been having for weeks in an IDE crashing on debugging some code I'm developing.
