Hi,
I just upgraded to X7 from X6 and now the preview pane displays "No Preview Available" when I am opening a file previously created file. Can some please guide me to how I can turn on this feature. OS: Windows 7 64bit.
Thanks,
Raj.
You are welcome. Glad to have you up and running, again.
just recently upgraded to CD17 from CD15. the preview pane worked for pdf, jpg, etc but not cdr files. spent all day on this. Here's what fixed it for me.
open windows explorer
right click any corel draw file in the file folder list
scroll over Open With and a flyout appears and (on my computer) there was Corel 15 and Corel 17 and as a 3rd option Choose Default Program
click Choose Default Program
Click the icon showing Corel Draw 17 to become the default program for this file type (cdr), make sure below that the box is checked for
"always use the selected program to open this file" If it's not checked the preview pane will not work.
Now I can preview files in preview pane. I must have run thru the Windows File Manager 10 different ways to double check the box saying show icons, never thumbnails blah, blah, blah. above is what worked for me.
Thanks, but nothing is working for me! The only way for me to preview is use an external program, like Inkscape. I'm on Windows 7
I had the same problem "No Preview Available" and your solution worked. Thank you.
But, why is the quality worse than it was before it stopped working?
