it's not a bug! [:D] see the video, there're several options for the knife tool. the first sample is like a line, the second is like a brush and the final sample shows "overlap". That means that the cutted result not matches exactky, but overlap for a better fit. This a VERY IMPORTANT feature for signmakers.
