Hi,
I need to edit each character in a font file. Maybe this will help explain it better...
1. Create a new drawing cdr file,
2. Select text tool and select a certain font. The selected font has ragged edges that I want to clean up,
3. Now type the alphabet as a long string with all possible characters supported by the font which is now a text object containing all the characters,
4. I now need to split each character into its own object, so it can be moved, edited, or whatever,
5. I would then save the cdr and when a character is needed, I could copy it from the file, as the file would become the font library, in a sense?
How would I do this?
Thanks, Stanley
Type your alphabet choose your font, now select the text string press Ctrl+K this will break the string into individual characters.
Select all the individual characters and now press Ctrl+Q this will turn them into editable graphics.
Hope this helps.

Depending on how you want to use these, you might want to consider Symbols and Symbol Libraries.
Thanks Chris,
Almost there... letters that have closed areas such as a B or a P get all filled in and looses their interior shape. BTW, what does Ctrl+K do?
Ctrl+K Breaks all sorts of things apart.
If you followed the procedure above you probably need to reverse the direction to one of the curves.
Select one node and reverse it's direction. See attached.
If you converted to curves first then broke it all apart you will need to select both parts of the letter and combine them Ctrl+L
