So we have a large boat wrap to re-do. Basic stripes with a gradient gray.Tried all kinds of methods in CD to eliminate banding. PDF print, rgb tiff, etc. Best option was to produce the gradient with Photoshop and save as a tiff then powerclip inside.
What is ps doing/not doing that Corel cannot?
BTW can you post the physical size of the gradient and resolution.
huh...don't know the physical size. It was my cohort's project. maybe 20ft wide by 6in high. Resolution is irrelevant if using a fountain fill. If you mean rendering intent I'd say cd default 300dpi. Me personally would have tried photopaint before photoshop but the 'adobe trained" doesn't see it that way. Job is nearly nearly complete now but I'd still like to know why the banding. Perhaps a pantone gray fade to a pantone white would've produced better result or an rgb gradient instead of cmyk?
p.s. I appreciate all the input.
I need the dark point and the light point also.
