Hi everybody,
i have a question: i made an arrangement of objects (ellipses) and they all have a x and y coord, and an angle. and i was wondering if it's possible to export this object information in a text file? since it's more timeconsuming to manually copy the information (i have to click on every object individually and type the x, y and angle into a text file).
thx in advance,
cheers,
Kapa

thanks for the links, judging by your description the "DescribeShapes.gms" is what i want. but i have no idea how to run macros :P (i'm not a programmer or an expert at any of this stuff)
but i guess that means there is so simple way of doing it :/

#1: Getting started with using VBA macros (What do you do with a .GMS file?).
Eskimo, thank you for the link.
You are welcome, Mek.
The question comes up often, so I thought it would be good to have a fairly detailed answer to which we could link.
i tried it now, and it's not that difficult to use the macro xD
thanks Mek for the DescribeShapes Macro and thanks Eskimo for the Tutorial link! and thanks Myron for suggesting to solve it with Macros!
the solution is perfect for what i wanted
