I realized that I lost one of my art files, I attempted to recover it, but no luck on my end. Can anyone open the Corel file and resave for me?

Knowing CorelDRAW, it would be wise to make a few manual backups often.
I use Mozy for my backups and it does a good job, but for some reason that file was deleted and it must of been deleted before I got my new computer because it was no where to be found on my online backup either.
I found a utility called filehamster. The free version does works well enough for me. Basically it watches a folder and anytime a file is added or changed in that folder it creates a backup of it in another location. I have it watch were I store my cdr files. Basically it is revision control. It is more than back up as each time I hit "Save," it makes a new backup.
I mention it a lot in this forum as I have found nothing else that does what it does on Windows and its so helpful in those situations where otherwise you must might want to cry or maybe break something. This can't help with your current lost file, but maybe it is something to think about for the future.
Hi, if you don't mind using a third-party tool, I think it's a good choice. I always use the Bitwar Data Recovery software on my PC when files are accidental deleted or corrupted. I think you can also use this program to recover you lost and corrupt files. As I have used other tools before, I think this one is most recommended.
