I am totally lost re. fountain fills in CD. I have set up a fountain fill using object properties that goes from green to white in the center and then to blue at the other end. But the fill does not appear in the selected object. All I get is one color.
I have also tried the interactive fill tool. I get the same results. But here I am confused about how the thing works. Is there a tutorial on this? I can't find any.
I must be missing some elementary aspect of this process. Could someone enlighten me?
Mike
I'm not sure whether your problem is with your shape or your fill.
To find out, I've created a file with those colours in a simple rectangle:
To find out whether it is the shape or the fill, open the file you have and import the CDR file at the top of this post into your own file. Select your original shape and do edit > copy properties from > fill > OK. Then point to my imported object.
If the shape is good, then it should import that fill and we will know that the problem was in your original fill.
If the shape remains unfilled, the shape is somehow the problem and we can ask questions about that.
Harry,
You have solved the problem. I have no idea what was wrong with my original object--maybe I had created by combining 2 simpler objects. But when I redrew the object, the fountain fill tool worked fine.
Thanks!
