Can you independently change height or width in text in CorelDraw7?

Thanks for the quick reply. It's unfortunate that this feature is not an integral part of the type/text interface.

My problem here is working with text on a path. I have to select text, go to transformations, click on the top center box for anchored area, but it still moves upward and away from my graphic.

Though this method works okay, it's still not perfect. Maybe Corel can learn something from Adobe Illustrator on this one.

Can you show us? When I try, the text stays on the path as expected.

My bad, my bad.
My original text rode below the path ( lined up on top of letters), thereby moving upward when enlarging the height.

Thanks Mike. This is a handy little tip to use in the future.

But when it's all boiled down, we shouldn't have to go this to this length to get an end result. If Corel would just implement a percentage feature in the text/type interface, it would be done and over with.
