Is anyone having issues printing bitmaps in Corel X7? There are black boxes where the bitmaps are when printing files that are created in a previous version. The only way to get the bitmaps to print are by converting the file to a PDF.
the one on the left is printing through Acrobat, the other 2 through Corel X7.
but it looks fine on screen.
We are also having issues with typefaces/fonts where when one designer on the team designs a layout and then the other designer opens the file and will be told that they don't have the font (when all fonts are shared on the company drive) and to replace it with the same font. After doing so all the text will be gibberish with random glyphs and spacing.
Your current version will be 17.xxx.xx.xxx not just 17
Both computers have been updated. Please help solve this issue.
Clearly the solution was obvious.
Ok now that the updates have been eliminated we can look to the files. You say as a PDF it works so there may a clue. When you publish to PDF what settings do you use? It may be that the bitmaps are being flattened or rasterized and the fonts imbedded in the PDF process.
Select the image and under the bitmap menu convert it to a bitmap in Draw, select monochrome, grayscale or whatever and a proper resolution, turn off the transparent background. That should solve the bitmap problem
The font issue may be that you're embedding them in the CDR file but not installing them on the local machine so when you open on another system they're screwing up.
Another question, what printers are you using? Are they postscript?
What version of Windows? Is Windows fully patched?
