Hello! Tutorial for beginners?

Hello!

I've been using CorelDraw for a little while now, but only for simple edits. I want to learn more about how to use the program. Can anyone recommend a good tutorial to watch that goes over different things in order? I'd like to be able to draw my own graphics, but I have NO idea where to even start!!

I didn't learn from tutorials. You see a rectangle tool. Hmm wonder what this does? Dig in and play around. Ellipse tool? Pretty self explanatory. I've been known to train thru a program that allows connecting of our computers and by phone call be able to walk thru some training. You can see what's happening on your screen and take over the mouse control as needed.

Thanks Myron! What is the difference between a bitmap image and vector image? And why do I sometimes get a message that says that I'm not able to edit an image?

In corel go view/wireframe. If you can see intersecting lines it could be many vector shapes. Think of a vector shape as a line drawn in the sand. The water would follow that line would it not? You could erase a line and make another to change the shape. A raster is a flat image. Like a napkin in the sand the water would cover it entirely whereby all you could do is tear it or crop it.
Can the psd files be ungrouped after importing?
Open one of the psd files in photopaint and see if the text can be changed in there.

Hi Charissa,
Try "CorelDraw Xx" by Gary David Bouton.
It's a gem.
And it's only about 900 pages.
