How to alter object group width and size while maintaining coordinate location.

Hello, Eskimo!

Both! My ultimate purpose is to make each of the asterisks larger without changing the location of their centers; however, when I increase the size of the asterisks by increasing the size of their lines (when grouped), they become thicker, which is what I don't want.

Mek's suggestion to consider a macro is a very good idea.

I'd never tried working with VBA in CorelDraw before, but starting with code that Mek posted in that thread, and then picking up some other bits elsewhere on-line, I came up with this:

If I select one or more objects, then run this, each object (or group of objects) retains its center position after scaling.

If other forum members with more macro experience see any "bad practices" in what I wrote above, then please educate me! My experience is very limited, but this little exercise has opened my eyes to some of the ways in which I might be able to automate some really tedious tasks. I am eager to learn.

I've already made some similar versions to do other variations:

1. scale the numbers on the X axis of a graph, keeping them centered in X, and keeping them top-aligned in Y

2. scale the numbers on the Y axis of a graph, keeping them centered in Y, and keeping them right-aligned in X

...and so on.

This sort of thing will be very useful to me in cases where I am working with graphical content of a technical nature (e.g., graphs, charts, plots) and need to "make it pretty" without compromising technical characteristics (e.g., alignment of labels).
