Is there a way to find any dimensions that I didn't break apart? I have a massive document with many different scales. I realized that somewhere in it I forgot to break apart the dimension lines. I did a search and come up with nothing. However I created a blank document with a couple shapes and dimensions and still came up blank. If I try to do an object search while selecting a dimension line I get an invalid object error. Any idea? Thanks.
There was some discussion in this thread - Are there any existing Macros to find any and all Dynamic Dimensions and turn them off? - about toggling the Dynamic status of dimensions.
Making a dimension non-dynamic may be better than breaking it apart (or not; depends on the situation).
Like a Powerclip that holds whatever dimensions are put inside of it.
Hmmm....that would be interesting but the breaking apart works for me in this way. I have 1 sign proof that may be relatively small and also saved as 1 doc. Now I have another sign proof that's quite large and also saved on it's own. I copy one to the other then run a macro to break just those dimensions apart allowing me to scale either up or down so I can print on 1 sheet of paper. Once printed I just delete the copied.
I'm having trouble following that thread. Does the code work in X7 and which post is the correct code? I don't like how you can't see the times of the posts and only general dates.

Isn't this cute, social-media-style forum software wonderful when it comes to finding information? Even when you have found a thread, and you KNOW some piece of information is in there, it's difficult to actually find it. It's tangled up in branches of discussion, and the software likes to hide information.
It would be much easier if they allowed one to view a forum thread - the entire thread - in a flat, chronological order.
Try this one: JQ_dynamic_dims_2019_08_24_2145.zip.
The only reason I posted an "X5" version - which doesn't actually work in X5 - was so that someone who was using X6 could use the .GMS file.
