Hi
I have been using CorelDRAW Graphics Suite for the past few months with no problem. Since 5 days ago, when I go and edit/smooth my text and save as dxf in autoCADR11 and reopen the smoothed areas are showing as lines.
It was working perfectly up until now, and I can only save in that autoCAD for my toolpath for my CNC machine.
Corel techs have tried to help, and last email said saving as autoCADR11 is not compatiable. Well it was until 5 days ago.
Ive tried EVERYTHING.
Any help will be grateful
Thanks Sarah
What exactly do you mean with smoothing text?
Something you could try is to save to a newer dwg version (e.g. dwg 2013) and then use e.g. Autodesk's TrueView or the TeighaFileConverter to convert it to DXF R11 and see if that works better. Without exactly knowing you are trying to do it is hard to tell where the problem is.
Hi ArtV,
My toolpath only allows DXF files from either AutoCADR11 or or R10. Ive been using Corel for months no worries, however since Tuesday, when I save a file in R11 and open its fine, but when I go to smooth out the nodes in the fonts etc, save and reopen they are becoming lines so to speak, jaggered. If saved in a autoCAD2007 or above its perfect.
Ive just subscribed to Enroute, and what I am doing in the mean time is saving in autoCAD 2008-2013, opening in Enroute, saving as a DXF file in there, then opening in my toolpath. Its only all of a sudden started doing this.
Both TeighaConverter and Autodesk DWG Trueview are free, so you may still want to take a look at those to see if using them to convert to DXF 11 solves you issue if all that you are using Enroute for is converting to DXF 11.
